JP Zhang, also known as John Zhang, is the founder of the Shenzhen SEO Conference. The official conference history traces the event back to a half-day gathering in Shenzhen in 2019.
When the conference returned in 2025, it expanded into a four-day event with approximately 500 attendees, bringing international practitioners together with peers from China and neighbouring markets.
